Delivery

Delivery is mainland UK and Isle of Wight only.

FREE delivery applies to all orders over £50, otherwise its just £4.95.

How will I receive my order?
Small items are sent securely by our courier APC and will require a signature upon arrival.

For larger items our 2 man delivery team will deliver your order. We will text you on the day before delivery with a 60 minute time slot.

How long does delivery take?
We aim to deliver your purchase within 1 to 6 working days of you receiving your confirmation of acceptance of order, subject to availability and unless otherwise stated by our customer service team. For small items the goods will be despatched on an all day delivery service Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 6pm by our carriers APC. For larger items we will call you on receipt of your order to arrange a suitable delivery date.


What happens if I'm not home when delivery is attempted?
If you need to change the date or time you can respond to the text message to re-arrange. However, if the courier arrives and you are not available they will leave a card to let you know they have attempted to deliver your product and will re-attempt delivery the next working day. If delivery fails on more than two occasions, please contact us by e-mail at sales@laptopworkshop.com or call 01903 200 222

For larger items we will contact you by telephone to arrange your delivery date upon receipt of your order. We will text you a 60 minute time slot the day before delivery. It is important that you are available to take delivery during this time.

What do I do if my delivery hasn't arrived as expected?
We pride ourselves on our commitment to delivering the highest standard of customer service to all our customers and our feedback rating is very important to us. If you have any problems with regards to your delivery, please give us the opportunity to resolve the issue with you by contacting our customer service team by e-mail at sales@laptopworkshop.com or call us directly on 01903 200 222*.

Returns

1) Return policy for unwanted new products purchased online:

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you may cancel the contract or return your item(s) under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, within 7 working days from the date you received it for an exchange or refund.

To return the item(s), please contact us by email at sales@laptopworkshop.com quoting your order number. We aim to respond to your e-mail enquiry within 1 working day of receipt. Alternatively, please call our customer services team on 01903 200 222 who will assist with arranging collection of your unwanted item(s).

All monies will be refunded if the goods are cancelled within the 7 day cooling off period. We will refund your payment with the price of the goods within 30 days beginning with the day on which notice of cancellation was given. However the following points must be observed:

  • Items must be returned in an unused condition with the original packaging. Please ensure that the product is well packed so it does not get damaged on its return journey. The receipt or other valid proof of purchase must be returned with the unused item(s).
  • Items are to be returned at your expense unless the item purchased was damaged or faulty when you received it. (Damages must be recorded within 24 hours)
  • All products are checked on return to our warehouse. In the event of the product being used or an accessory is missing, a full refund will not be processed. An example of the cost for accessories that will be charged is as follows:

    1. Charger £40 including VAT.
    2. Instruction book/manual £10 including VAT

If you fail to make the goods available for collection within 30 days of your notice of cancellation, you will be deemed to have accepted the goods and you will not be refunded. This does not affect your statutory rights.

2) New Computer Warranty

All new computers are sold with the benefit of a minimum 12-month manufacturers repair warranty (excluding software and consumables). Laptop batteries have a maximum 6 month warranty unless stated otherwise by the manufacture. Most manufacturers we partner with offer our customers a free of charge collect and repair warranty, where this is not the case we will endeavor to assist you via our own in-house technicians.

If a hardware fault occurs after 30 days of purchase, the customer has the following options:

• Return to nearest Laptop Workshop for inspection, we can then deal with manufacture direct. Lead time on all hardware repairs will be dependant on parts availability, however, will take a minimum of 5 working days and a maximum of 28 working days.
• Contact the Manufacture directly where they are able to collect and return the unit directly from the customer’s home or office (this option can reduce the time taken to repair the unit by 2-3 working days)


As with all warranties, the warranty coverage is void if the owner performs unauthorised activities. This includes opening the case, taking the unit to an unauthorised repair center, and any attempt to repair the unit yourself. In addition, the warranty is void if it is exposed to water, dropped, abused or has any noticeable damage. There may be a manufacturer’s fee for inspection and/or carriage to return to the equipment should the warranty to be void due to customers fault.

It is the customers responsibility to check compatibility with 3rd party devices.

We will only offer to replace a faulty computer which has had minimum of 4 or more hardware repairs (software is not covered). This is also in accordance to the manufactures warranty terms and conditions.

The Warranty shall be invalid if the Equipment’s original identification (trademark(s), serial number(s), part number(s) etc.) has been altered, defaced or removed.

The Manufactures Limited Warranty does not affect your statutory rights.

Any breach by the Customer of the Limited Warranty or these conditions shall invalidate all future warranty claims.

Terms and conditions of the Manufactures Limited Warranty and Warranty Service are subject to change without notice.

3) Refurbished Computer Warranty

All refurbished computers are sold with the benefit of a minimum 6 or 12 month Return to Base repair warranty (excluding software and consumables). The warranty begins from the day of purchase. Returns to base means the customer is responsible to return the item to Laptop Workshop, 39 Broadwater Street West, Worthing, West Sussex, BN14 9BY.

Faulty goods will be repaired or replaced with goods equal or greater in specification. We do not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse, normal wear and tear, or any alteration or repair carried out without our prior approval, each of which would invalidate the warranty.

If a hardware fault occurs after purchase, the customer has the following options:

• Return to Laptop Workshop, 39 Broadwater Street West, Worthing, for inspection. Lead time on all hardware repairs will be dependent on parts availability, however, will take a minimum of 5 working days and a maximum of 28 working days.

The customer must include proof of purchase
The customer must ensure that they are properly and securely packaged and labelled with our address.
The customer is responsible for any damage or loss in transit.
Any loss of data is specifically excluded from warranty coverage. 

4) KLARNA
In cooperation with Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden, we offer you the following payment options. Payment is to be made to Klarna:

5) Call out for iPhone repairs

Please note any call out charges are charged as a separate item. Warranty repairs which involve a call out are valid for 30 days only. After 30 days the remainder of 12 month warranty is RTB (return to base only).

6) In store collection policy

Any devices such as computers, iPhones, tablets etc. that have been inspected or repaired must be checked for any damage/marks prior to the customer leaving the premises. No claims will be investigated once the customer has left the store.

REPAIR TERMS & CONDITIONS

By booking in a device for inspection or repair, you agree to our Terms & Conditions below:

1) Repairs undertaken, carry up to six month warranty
(30day for graphics) unless stated otherwise and is limited to the specific repair only. A fee of £15.00 is applicable for a failed repair.
Please allow 2-14 working days for a repair/inspection, unless otherwise specified.
This may change depending upon parts availability.
Warranty repairs are subject to Manufacturer Terms & Conditions.

2) It is the customers responsibility to backup all data and programs prior to repairs as Laptop Workshop is not responsible for software or data which may be damaged, lost or corrupted during the repair operations.

3) Equipment or machines not collected within 60 days of the booking in date will be sold or disposed of to recover costs.

4) Whilst every care will be taken to repair the equipment, there is always a risk when carrying out the inspection/repair that the fault may deteriorate further or may even develop an additional fault. The Laptop Workshop will not accept responsibility for a failed repair or consequential machine failure. If you decide not to proceed repair, many devices such as
Phones with broken screens may not be able to be returned to the same condition when booked in. The customer is urged to weigh the risk prior to instructing Laptop Workshop to proceed.

5) For iPads we cannot guarantee fingerprint sensor to be functional after repair. The customer is urged to weigh the risk prior to instructing Laptop Workshop to proceed.

6) If no money is charged for our services, no contract between you or
Laptop Workshop exists.

7) By leaving your machine with The Laptop Workshop staff for repair/inspection you are agreeing to the above Terms & Conditions.
